Kittens
Registered breeders care for their cats and kittens, and we all have slightly different approaches and priorities when raising our kittens.
Our
Priorities
Our priorities when breeding kittens are as follows:
Low-stress Environment for Queens
To ensure our Queens are as happy as possible, we limit ourselves to only two or three Queens at any one time, and provide them with an enormous amount of indoor space in which to roam. Our Queens are able to spend as much or as little time together as they wish and are able to find complete isolation, but still have access to all their usual facilities, should their moods take them.
Healthy Kittens
There are never any health guarantees with animals, but we do our best to ensure our kittens are as healthy as possible. We only breed from healthy lines, provide them with all the necessary healthcare and meet all their dietary needs, ensuring they are fed a healthy, balanced (un-raw) diet.
Confident & Resilient Kittens
To encourage confidence and resilience in our kittens we raise them in a family room, rather than in an isolated kitten room.
We try and provide our kittens with maximum exposure to family, pets, friends and regular household activities in an effort to produce more social, confident, physically and emotionally resilient cats.

Human Safety
I do not feed my cats raw food.
There is no scientific evidence to indicate a raw diet is better for a cat then a good quality cooked/processed cat food.
There is a known risk to humans, in feeding pets raw food, and an increased risk to the pets that consume raw food.

Only ever purchase an Abyssinian from a registered breeder. There are never any true guarantees when it comes to animals, but risks are always significantly reduced when a breeder is registered with a body such as the GCCF.
